After a few days of deliberation, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have announced the name of their new son.
The actors have decided to dub their son Cree Taylor, according to People.com. Tia revealed a couple of weeks ago that she and her hubby wanted to give him a warrior-esque name beginning with C.
According to BabyNames.com, Cree comes from the Native American word for "tribe name." Cathal, Chadwick, Caine, Caden or Clovis (just to name a few) would have been a little closer to the intended mark, but the couple still picked a great name for the newest addition to their family.
The couple decided that his middle name should start with a T, just like his mama! It carries over a family tradition from Tia’s branch of the family tree where all of the children’s names begin with that letter.
The new parents were thrilled to welcome their new son into the world earlier this week.
"I never knew how much love I could feel for someone," Tia told Us Weekly.
Cory added, "We both have tears of joy!"
Tia, who was tweeting about the BET Awards and "True Blood" just before she went into labor seems to be doing well.
"@coryhardrict and myself would like to thank all our family, friends, and fans for all the luv! We luv and appreciate u:)," Tia tweeted last night. "My life has now begun."
