Lil Wayne album gets release date
Lil Wayne has revealed that his new album Tha Carter IV is finally complete, and will be rolled out to music lovers soon.
Weezy confirmed the good news on MTV News, stating, "The album is done and it’ll be out August 29. It’s totally done." But that’s not all. The rapper is also giving his fans an apology for the hold up in a the form of a mixtape dubbed Sorry 4 the Wait, due out today or tomorrow.
Tha Carter IV includes a Tupac-inspired track for the ladies, titled "How to Love," which Wayne said was inspired by Tupac.
"That song is just sweeping the world. It’s touching every woman, that’s what it was for," Weezy said. "It was like, Tupac had ‘Keep Ya Head Up’ and it was a message to women and little girls across the world. Just to keep your head up even though things are hard."

The female boxer, who just welcomed a brand-new baby girl, explained what inspired her to launch her Laila Ali Professional brand. "People are always searching for a good skin care product," she told TV One. "Of course it is genes, but it’s also about living a healthy lifestyle inside out and using great products."
The high-end line will pamper customers from head to toe with a full range of skin care, hair care and fragrances. And the Laila Ali Professional line won’t break the bank, as it will be available at Sears and Walmart.
Spike Lee to direct ‘Old Boy’
Spike Lee is getting back behind the camera for a movie! According toThe Hollywood Reporter, he is set to direct Mandate’s Old Boy. The film is a remake of the South Korean revenge flick about a man who is abducted and locked up on his daughter’s birthday.
"For 15 years, he is held captive, and, upon his release, must begin his journey to find the reason for his imprisonment," the studio described the film in a release. "He soon finds out that his kidnapper has plans for him more tortuous than his solitary confinement.”
This will be Spike’s first film since Miracle at St. Anna in 2008. Since then, he’s been busy working on small-screen documentaries such as If God Is Willing And Da Dreek Don’t Rise.
There’s no word yet on who may star in Old Boy, but Will Smith was once linked to the project.

The Black Eyed Peas split
The Black Eyed Peas are leaving the pod…sort of. The members of the group have decided to call it quits.
Fergie, Will.I.Am, Taboo and apl.de.ap announced their decision onstage.
“We want you to know that we love you and thank you for the support you’ve given from the beginning,” Fergie said. “This isn’t going to be the last time you’ll see us.”
There’s been speculation that Fergie and Will.I.Am will be moving forward with solo careers.
Q-Tip clears the air
A Tribe Called Quest frontman, Q-Tip, said he does support a documentary about the group created by filmmaker Michael Rapaport.
“If we hadn’t been supportive of the film, it wouldn’t be out. When I said I wasn’t in support of it on Twitter, the director needed to respect the subjects’ few requests that they had about the film artistically,” Q-Tip told Hot 97 DJ, Angie Martinez.
Q-Tip explained that he spoke out against the movie to get Michael’s attention. Once he started squeaking, he got the oil he was after.
“It was more like a flare to get his attention,” said Q-Tip, who said he doesn’t have any ill feelings toward the filmmaker and actor.
“I think Mike is not a bad person at his core. It’s just [that] he’s excited about it; it’s a passionate project, he’s a passionate dude. It’s his first outing as a director. So there’s some things…” he said.
Halle Berry ‘stalker’ arrested
It didn’t take long for authorities to apprehend the man who’s been trespassing on Halle Berry’s property.
After reporting that someone had been jumping the security wall at her home, the police set up camp at Halle’s residence and apprehended a man who officers watched jump onto her property.
Authorities believe it’s the same man who Halle reported seeing outside her house on Saturday and Sunday.
The suspect was arrested and charged with suspicion of felony stalking, TMZ reports.
Malia Obama has her first kiss
A lot comes with being the child of a U.S. President and apparently that includes the world reporting on your first smooch.
Malia Obama is making headlines for engaging in her first kiss. Apparently, the 13-year-old told her grandmother, Marian Robinson, about the encounter, and grandma shared the news with the first couple, the National Enquirer reports.
The identity of the co-kisser has not been revealed, but it’s believed he was a fellow classmate at Malia’s school.
