    Ciara headed to Epic?

    Ciara may be among the roster of artists that L.A. Reid welcomes to Epic Label Group now that he’s stepped in as head of the company.

    According to The Hollywood Reporter,  CiCi will move to Sony under L.A.’s watchful eye. The singer was released from her contract at Jive earlier this year after disputes with management over her last album, Basic Instinct.

    Neither L.A. nor Ciara have confirmed or commented on the reports  at this time.


    Tyrese wants you to ‘Stay’

    Tyrese is trying to keep his woman from walking out the door! The singer, who may already be working on a new book, has just leaked a single from his upcoming album, titled Open Invitation.

    On the track, the crooner is owning up to some of his past wrongs in a relationship while begging his boo not to leave him.

    Ty has said he’s trying to recreate a certain vibe that he feels R&B has lost, and after a listen to the song below, he might be well on his way to reaching that goal. 


    Tami Roman’s daughter covers Drake

    Lady Jazz, daughter of "Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman, is putting her spin on Drake’s "Marvin’s Room."

    In her track, titled "Le Boudoir," Jazz is telling her boyfriend’s ex-girl to step back and stop playing herself. Take a listen and tell us what you think!




    Eva Marcille hosts ‘Hair Battle’
    “America’s Next Top Model” alumna Eva Marcille will host season 2 of Oxygen’s “Hair Battle Spectacular,” which premieres August 15 at 10 p.m. (EST).
    “The competition series pits 11 of America’s hottest stylists against each other to see who can deliver the biggest and best in fantasy hair design,” reads a network press release.
    Derek J, one of the high-heel-strutting regulars on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” will serve as a judge on the series.
    The winner will take home $100,000.

    Kandi Burruss works her resume
    Kandi Burruss, of Xscape and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fame, showed up on TBS’s “Are We There Yet?” last season.
    Now, it seems the singer and reality star has continued her acting pursuits.
    Kandi recently tweeted this photo of her with Nadine Ellis and Kim Coles on the set of BET’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
    Season two of the sitcom is currently in production.
    She tweeted, “I’m sitting in my trailer reading over my lines before I go on the set of BET’s ‘Let’s Stay Together.’”


    Mookie returns
    Spike Lee will return to the big screen as one of his most popular characters.
    Mookie, who Spike first portrayed in Do the Right Thing, will be back this summer in Red Hook Summer, according to Blackfilm.com
    In the 1989 Oscar-winning film, Mookie was a young pizza deliveryman who clashed with his Italian boss.
    Spike was 32 when he played Mookie; he is now 54. Fans will have to wait to find out whether Spike will be wearing Mookie’s earring and braces in the new film, which is scheduled to begin production this month.
