Tyrese is giving a little more insight into his forthcoming book with Rev. Run, Manology.
In a recent interview with BET, the singer-actor revealed that he’s not trying to step on author Steve Harvey’s toes with his advice book.
Although Ty and Rev. Run are trying to get women to understand men, they’re taking a two-pronged approach.
"I am doing a book with Rev. Run called Manology, dissecting the thoughts of man," Tyrese confirmed. "It’s going to be a revealing, uncomfortable truth coming from a married man’s perspective as well as a single man’s perspective."
Both Rev. Run and Tyrese have been teasing the book in advice tweets with the hashtag #MANOLOGY. "We hope to paint a clearer picture of who we are, where we are, and what the next phase of man is from our humble opinions," Ty explained.
Tyrese and Rev. Run have very different Twitter styles, so the book is expected to offer a real contrast in the thought process of men at different stages in their lives. Where Run is more inspirational and uplifting, Ty can be a little rougher.
The other day, for example, Run tweeted, "Ladies:: No man is worth your tears, but once you find a man that is, he’ll never make you cry. #MANOLOGY."
Tyrese, on the other hand, seems to be going through some growing pains with his babymama, tweeting, "A lot of dudes STUCK w/horrible BabyMomma’s trying to convert them from being a bedroom freak into a MOTHER..#NotGonnaHappen #MANOLOGY."
