Chris Brown responds to Fox News diss

Chris Brown may feel he’s paid his dues when it comes to his battery charge against Rihanna, but the world hasn’t forgotten, and it’s getting on Chris’ nerves.

“People really should grow up sometimes! I guess the next story they make up will say ‘chris brown paid the fans to come! #stopit5 hahaha,’ Chris tweeted.

“I get it though! They are upset at the fact that the today show actually focuses on talent instead of an almost 3 year old incident! Running bogus and pointless stories don’t matter!” he added.

Chris’ rant was in response to a Fox News story that questioned whether the “Today Show” was guilty of endorsing Chris’ past bad acts by allowing him to perform on the program.

However, the more than 18,000 fans, some of whom camped out days prior to ensure a good view of the stage, aren’t deterred by Chris’ past behavior.

Rapper 50 Cent agreed with Chris’ fans and thinks it’s time to move on, tweeting that Chris has already paid for his mistakes.

“I just saw a clip of FOX news Hating on NBC for having chris brown on unbelievable. I’m never watching that again,” he wrote.

While Fox reporters might question his staying power, “Today Show” execs are pleased by it.

“We did not do anything different from any other artists that perform on our show,” said NBC producer Melissa Lonner. “We promoted his concert at the series announcement in early May and then the week leading up to the concert on the show and on our websites.”
