This has not been a good week for Tami Roman: First she was involved in a car accident, now she’s being sued!
The "Basketball Wives" star was involved in a three-car crash shortly after she touched down in Los Angeles yesterday, according to TMZ.com.
She and a traveling buddy had just been picked up when a driver collided with the vehicle behind Tami’s car. The crash was so powerful it caused a chain reaction.
"Me & my dude jus landed in LA and got in [an] auto accident," Tami tweeted, "Rear ended by two cars. [Thank] God no visible injuries-but I have [a] major headache!"
There’s no word on whether anyone else involved in the crash was hurt, but right now Tami’s got other things to worry about.
Specifically, TMZ reports that her "Basketball Wives" castmate Meeka Claxton is suing her for assault and battery.
The suit stems from an alleged rumble the reality TV stars got into during a trip to Rome for the show. According to court documents, Meeka claims that Tami "assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved" her. Meeka charges that the fight caused her such serious injury that she had to miss a day of taping.
Meeka is seeking an undisclosed amount of money in damages because, she claims, Tami has put her through emotional and physical distress.
Interestingly, Meeka initially denied the dust-up via Twitter when reports of their fight began to surface last month. However, a teaser for next week’s episode of "Basketball Wives," shows that fans of the series may get a chance to see what really went down in Rome that fateful night.
Tami commented on the legal action via Twitter, writing, "I was unaware of this pending lawsuit until getting word from my publicist, to which I have no comment."
