More than 300 fans impatiently waited at a Cricket Wireless store in Washington, D.C. for the arrival of rapper Big Sean on Sunday.
Muve Music hosted the Detroit rapper as it celebrated its 100,000th customer and status as the first wireless plan to include unlimited music.
Although Big Sean arrived fashionably late, fans and promoters alike cheered as he entered the room.
After press interviews, Big Sean rejoined the crowd and allowed the representatives of Cricket Wireless to have the floor. They announced that their newest music service, Muve Music, reached its 100,000th customer in only five months. After a round of applause, the G.O.O.D Music recording artist proceeded with a general public meet and greet.
Debbie Taylor, a Muve Music customer of Washington, D.C., was randomly selected to spend exclusive time with Big Sean. Debbie, along with two of her children, posed with Big Sean and even won tickets to his concert at the Columbia Post Pavilion that evening.
Not only was this a milestone for Muve Music, but also a milestone for Big Sean’s rising career. The rookie’s debut album, Finally Famous, reached #1 on the rap charts and peaked at #3 on Billboards’ Hot 200 after its first week of release.
Big Sean seemed grateful to share the excitement over the smart phone carrier’s newest music service. He even joked, “So where’s my Android?”
