Sister 2 Sister is hearing that Meeka Claxton was the first to swing on Tami Roman, leading to the altercation that will air on tonight’s "Basketball Wives."
Fans will be able to judge for themselves whether Meeka’s lawsuit against Tami holds water. There are questions about the validity of the charge, not just because Meeka is rumored to have started it, but also because it’s unclear whether she can file charges in the United States for something that happened overseas, but this is a civil suit; so, we’ll see.
There’s also a question about whether Meeka can or will sue VH1.
A legal expert S2S consulted said it’s possible that the charges will stick if Italy and the United States have a pact.
According to S2S sources, the season 3 reunion show is taping in just a few hours, and it’s expected to be a hostile one, especially since Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal is more than just a little upset about what went down.
Tami has always held that what happened in Italy was self-defense. In June, Tami tweeted, "Meeka is not a victim! She wanted 2get it poppin w/me 2 impress Evelyn. If I feel threatened, I have a right to defend myself."
Will tonight’s show prove Tami’s version of events?
Although fans will have to tune in to see how it all unfolds, the sneak peek below offers some explanation of how the fisticuff started.
As usual, Tami didn’t hold her tongue at all when face to face with Meeka. Tami hasn’t missed an opportunity to confront Meeka about her gossip and went so far as to make fun of Meeka’s “whisper” voice in front of her while at dinner.
Of course, Evelyn Lozada and Shaunie O’Neal didn’t help by laughing at Tami’s jokes and encouraging her taunting.
That’s the more negative part of the clip. The good news is it looks like Jennifer Williams and BFF Evelyn are going to squash their beef over Jen’s interview in which she referred to Evelyn’s fiancé as a media whore.
Check out the clip from tonight’s episode.
