    Keyshia Cole announces new management

    Keyshia Cole is sharing more good news! The singer announced via Twitter that her career, which seems to be on the upswing, is under new management.

    Keyshia revealed that she’s placed herself in very good hands, tweeting, "You all follow my new management @KevinLiles1 gr8 energy. Ready to take ova the world with God by side. My husband N my son Djr LETS GO!!!!"

    This comes nearly seven months after Keyshia announced her split from former manager Manny Halley, whom she’d left once before.


    Chante Moore confirms divorce

    R&B sweethearts Chante Moore and Kenny Lattimore have gone their separate ways. Chante confirmed the split in an message she posted to Facebook.

    "My ex-husband Kenny Lattimore and I are divorced," Chante wrote. "We both will continue to be devoted parents to our son. I would much rather my fans hear this sensitive information directly from me, than some random inaccurate media source."

    Chante and Kenny wed on January 1, 2002. She declined to state what led up to their split, which few people saw coming. The couple seemed to get along well, and they even released a couple of duet albums.

    Kenny has yet to comment on the divorce.


    Jennifer Hudson stands by Barack Obama

    Jennifer Hudson won’t leave President Barack Obama hanging on his birthday. The "No One Gonna Love You" diva performed at his birthday fundraiser in Chicago last night. SingersRoom.com reports that Herbie Hancock and rock group OK GO also took the stage.

    Organizers expected about 1,000 guests to show up for the birthday bash, which supporters paid between $50 and $38,500 to attend. The party raised money for Obama’s re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee.




    Jill Scott and Doug E Fresh honored

    After offering up a rendition of Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam’s hit “All Cried Out,” Jill Scott was honored with an appreciation plaque presented to her by Paul Anthony and Bowlegged Lou of Full Force.

    Doug E. Fresh, who performed a track from Light of the Sun while joining Mint Condition, Anthony Hamilton and Jazzy Jeff, also received a plaque.

    However, the highlight of the evening was the conversation between Jill and Lisa Lisa. The two got on the phone to share their mutual respect for one another, according to a press release.

    Obama turns 50

    After releasing his birth certificate to the world, President Barack Obama couldn’t deny that he’s turning 50.

    “I’m starting to think a little more about Medicare eligibility,” said the president, who joked that he’s expecting his AARP card any day now.

    He may still be waiting for his AARP membership, but the gray hairs have already arrived.

    “My daughters say it makes me look distinguished, and Michelle says it makes me look old,” said President Obama, who’s happy as long as his wife still finds him attractive.

    “I feel pretty good, and Michelle says that she still thinks I’m cute, and that’s all that matters, isn’t it?” he said.

    Bubba Smith dies

    Athlete and actor Bubba Smith passed away unexpectedly on Thursday.

    Bubba, best known for his role as Moses Hightower in the Police Academy movies, was 66.

    No cause of death has been determined yet, but authorities do not suspect foul play, the LA Times reported.

    Before his acting career launched, Bubba played for a few NFL teams, including the Baltimore Colts and the Oakland Raiders.
