It’s been an eventful day for Nicki Minaj, who had a wardrobe malfunction on ABC this morning.
When Nicki hit the stage on "Good Morning America" today, she gave the crowd more of a show than they expected. While rocking the stage in one of her usually colorful costumes, the rapper’s bra top began to slip, leaving her left breast exposed.
Despite her initial shock, Ms. Minaj put her top back in place and continued on with her set, which included "Moment 4 Life" and "Superbass."
Nicki seemed to be in surprisingly high spirits after her embarrassing moment. In a tweet posted after she left the stage, she chose to focus on the positive by thanking fans for their support.
"U guys just gave me LIFE. I love u Team Minaj!" she wrote. "Words could never do this love justice! Thank you @Gma!!!!"
ABC did have 5-second delay on the live broadcast, but the network apologized for allowing the nip slip to fly under their radar. Fortunately, the wardrobe malfunction won’t be seen on the West Coast.
"The live East Coast feed of the concert regrettably included certain fleeting images of the performer that were taken out of later feeds of the broadcast in other time zones," ABC said in a statement.
Nicki won’t have to worry about any overexposure when she joins the cast of the animated flick Ice Age 4, which hits theaters on July 13, 2012. She confirmed to ABC that she will be starring alongside Queen Latifah, Ray Romano, Jennifer Lopez and Drake, but it’s not clear which character she’ll play.
The "Where Them Girls At" rapper can also be heard on the 911 call from her dustup at a Dallas hotel last month with her hypeman Sarafee. TMZ.com released audio of the call that, where Nicki can be heard screaming at a man in the background. The front desk manager contacted the 911 dispatcher for help.
According to police reports Nicki was hit in the face, suffering cuts to the inside of her mouth, but the rapper has denied that anyone ever laid a hand on her. The 911 audio, however, backs up what is on the police report.
"It’s pretty crazy up here right now," the manager told 911. "This is a celebrity profile group. This is Nicki Minaj … she got hit in the face by somebody, too. I’m sure you got that on tape. She got hit."
Nicki’s camp has yet to comment on the release of the 911 tape, which you can listen to here.
