    Happy Birthday, Whitney Houston!

Whitney Houston has made it another year. The "I Look To You" diva turns 48 years old today.

Here’s hoping that the year ahead is a success for the music legend, who has had her share of struggles.

    Happy Birthday, Whitney!

Mary J. Blige readies new scent

Mary J. Blige is preparing to bring a flowery remix of her popular perfume to HSN. The "Real Love" singer has dropped a commercial introducing My Life Blossom, which will make its debut when MJB hits up HSN on August 13.

If the commercial is anything to go by, expect the scent to be a clean, fresh floral.

Nicki Minaj written into ‘Ice Age’

Nicki Minaj almost didn’t land a part in the upcoming Ice Age installment. Nicki (or is that Roman or Martha) told MTV News that when she auditioned for Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, she didn’t get the role she wanted.

Fortunately for her and all of her alter egos, producers were so pressed to have her onboard for the movie that they created a part just for her.

"I was really mad, and the next thing you know, they called me and they said, ‘We wrote in a part just for you ’cause we really want you to be a part of this movie,’" Nicki dished in a British accent. She was so excited to get the gig, she even gave the studio options on which version of Nicki they want for the animated film.

"I went in and I had a blast. I did it as two different voices,” she said. “We’ll see what happens."

Chris Brown brushes off CNN slam

Chris Brown is shrugging off shots from Anderson Cooper.  On a recent episode of "AC 360," the CNN anchor sarcastically went over a list of reasons why Chris’s casting in Think Like A Man, which he revealed is slated for release in April, doesn’t quite make sense.

Anderson’s digs didn’t seem to bother Chris, who tweeted, "I guess people need ratings!!! Lol!!! It’s cool. Much love." See what Anderson had to say when you watch the video below.

Kelly Rowland to star in new sitcom

Kelly Rowland fans may be seeing more of the “Motivation” singer.

The judge on the upcoming competition series, “X Factor,” may have more TV in her future.

Kelly, who recently made a guest appearance on VH1’s “Single Ladies,” might be starring in her own sitcom, according to www.theybf.com.

Apparently, a major TV network has offered the former Destiny’s Child singer her own show and it will begin taping in January.

Kelly isn’t a total stranger to the acting world. In addition to her TV guest appearances, she’s got a role in the upcoming Think Like a Man and was seen in the movies Seat Filler and Freddy vs. Jason.

    Bring ‘Jumping the Broom’ home

Jumping the Broom has finally made its way to stores, and you can finally relive the wedding of the year. (Prince William what? Kate who?)

The movie is available on Blu-ray for $35.99 and you can also get it on DVD for $30.99. That might seem like a lot, but Sony Home Entertainment is making sure you get your money’s worth with bonus material such as two behind-the-scenes featurettes and commentary from director Salim Akil and lead actors Laz Alonso and Paula Patton.
