Sherri Shepherd got a second shot at wedded bliss after jumping the broom this weekend!
Life & Style magazine reported that Sherri married her beau Lamar Sally during a beautiful ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago on Saturday night. The TV host kept her fans updated on the nuptials by tweeting all weekend about the festivities, including a pic from her last night as a single woman.
She also let her fans in on the important, practical questions that may not run through a bride’s mind until her big day.
"Sitting in the room in my gown waiting for Sal & groomsmen to take their pics … can’t let him see me b4 the wedding … but I’m bored as heck," Sherri tweeted. "What happens when you are in your wedding dress and you have to tinkle? Uh-oh!"
Sherri’s son Jeffery walked her down as she wore a custom-made wedding gown by Rivini. Niecy Nash, Mym Whitley, Yvette Nicole Brown and Elisabeth Hasselbeck were all among the ladies standing at the altar with Sherri. Like any good bride, Sherri made sure that her bridesmaids looked stunning in custom-made gowns by Carmen Marc Valvo.
After the cermony, Sherri remarked on how remarkable it is for her to be a wife. "Second chances really do happen, and I got mine!" Sherri said. "I’m married now!"
Sherri and Lamar got engaged over Christmas. The couple, who were introduced to each by Niecy and her new husband, dated for about a year before Sal popped the question. The couple will share their big day during the Style Network special "Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married," airing September 13.
