    Kenny Lattimore preps album

Kenny Lattimore has announced that he’ll have to heal while readying his new studio project. Recordnet reported that the R&B crooner will release an album titled Back to Cool early next year.

He’ll introducer the album with the single "Built to Last," which he’ll perform in Washington, D.C., on August 25.

"It’s a classic Kenny Lattimore song," said Kenny, who, ironically, just split from R&B siren Chante Moore after 9 years of marriage. "It’s got lovely lyrics. It’s a love song about the ups and downs of being in a relationship. It’s a great song."

There’s no word on which company will release the album, as Kenny wants to finish recording the album before choosing a label home. "I didn’t sign to a label," he explained. "I wanted to define the music before I went to a record label."
