    Nick Cannon shows Guinness some love

    Nick Cannon hugged it out in New York over the weekend as he aimed to break a world record. ABC News reports that the "America’s Got Talent" host stationed himself at City Field on Friday to smash the Guinness record of most hugs given in one hour.

    There’s no word yet on whether Nick beat the standing record of 1,749 hugs, which was set last September.

    Nick, who just welcomed twins with wife Mariah Carey, also  did a little multi-tasking at the affectionate event. According to E! News, a toy was donated to a kid at the Mets Care Room for every embrace Nick gave.

    Teairra Mari addresses DUI

    Teairra Mari is speaking out about her arrest for driving under the influence. The singer was  taken into custody on Friday morning during a traffic stop in Beverly Hills.

    "Let me start by saying that this is a very embarrassing moment for me, I know that I’ve disappointed so many people including myself," Teairra declared in a statement. According to TMZ.com the entertainer was held in custody for a few hours until she paid her $50,000 bail.

    Reports have stated that during Teairra’s arrest that she attacked one of the officers, resulting in an assault charge. But she denies ever striking the officer.

    "I take full responsibility for my actions, but I absolutely did NOT "attack" a Beverly Hills police officer and I’m very confused by those allegations," Teairra sated. "I did have drinks and I misjudged the situation by driving myself home."

    She added in closing, "I want to apologize to those that I endangered that night and also to the people that I’ve let down. I hope that this situation can save someone from making the dumb decision to drink and drive!"

    Drake confirms album drop

    Drake’s second album, Take Care, is on schedule! The Canadian rapper confirmed that his sophomore release will hit retailers on October 24.

    October’s Very Own is expected to give fans even more of what they loved from Thank Me Later in Take Care. "Very few artists are able to release such a strong body of work so early in their careers," Drake’s co-manager Cortez Bryant said in a statement. "Drake tells an entire story with Take Care and fans are going to be able to see how far he has come."

    Birdman added, "Drake continues to be a trailblazer not just in hip-hop but in the general music landscape. The Young Money [and] Cash Money families could not be more proud to release this album this fall."

    Beyoncé to release ’4 Intimate Nights’ DVD 

    If you couldn’t snag a ticket to 4 Intimate Nights with Beyoncé, the "Run The World (Girls)" singer is bringing it to you.

    Bey has confirmed that she’ll be releasing a DVD of her intimate concert series. While she didn’t say when 4 Intimate Nights with Beyoncé will go on sale, you can hear the announcement straight from her at the 5:30 mark in the video below.

    Game cleared of criminal charges

    Game is off the hook after facing criminal charges for tweeting the phone number of the Compton Sherrif’s station.

    The Los Angeles rapper got in trouble on August 12 for inciting a "telephone flash mob." The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has dropped the charges since Game apologized, claiming that a friend using his phone posted the tweet in question.

    Capt. Mike  Parker said in a statement, “Based upon our investigation, as well as consultation with the Los Angeles County attorneys office, the LASD consider the criminal investigation into this matter [closed].”
