East Coast shook by 5.8 quake

People as far north as Boston and as far south as Atlanta apparently felt a 5.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the East Coast on Tuesday afternoon. There were even reports of tremors in Northern Florida.

There have yet to be any reports of deaths or serious injuries, but social media and news reports confirmed almost immediately that the shaking ground caused a few shake-ups for those residing in the affected areas; for example, cell phone service was interrupted, making it difficult for those who felt the tremor to get in touch with concerned family and friends.

Many celebrities took to Twitter to comment on the quake:

    Did you feel the earthquake?
