T.I. will have a new release the same week he gets home from prison, but you’ll have to pick this one up at the bookstore.
The rapper has penned a novel about life and love on the streets titled Power & Beauty. The work of fiction follows Paul "Power" Clay and Tanya "Beauty" Long, childhood friends that develop an attraction for one another.
The relationship isn’t allowed to bloom because the would-be couple has to keep their love hidden from a man named Charlie "Slim" Simmons. Slim’s a hustler that has designs on both of their lives, taking Power on as a protégé while corrupting Beauty’s innocence.
Slim eventually sets them on separate paths that tear two apart, but fate brings them back together. The question is will they be able to stay together or will something rip them apart forever?
Power & Beauty, published by HarperCollins imprint William Morrow, hits retailers on October 1. You can get your hands on a copy for $23.99.
According to DJ Drama, Tip should be home by September 29, so the book drops just two days after his release. Hopefully, he’ll be too busy promoting the novel and working on new music to get in trouble.
