Halle Berry came out on top in the latest court battle with ex Gabriel Aubry.
Although it was just one battle in what’s become a long war, a judge has allowed Halle to have custody of her daughter Nahla while she works on a movie in Europe, according to TMZ.
Gabriel reportedly wanted more time with Nahla while Halle worked, but the family court judge ruled in favor of the Oscar winner.
The bitter custody battle, which began nearly nine months ago, has called into question Nahla’s racial identity and Gabriel’s parenting skills. According to reports, the latest issue over custody while Halle shoots overseas, ended up in front of a judge because the two could not come to an agreement.
In April, Halle spoke on the litigation suggesting that it would soon be over. “Sometimes as a couple, you reach an impasse and we need the court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy that we’ve arrived at that place. For her sake, it’s the best way,” Halle told “Extra” nearly five months ago.
The overall custody battle is still ongoing, but it’s considered a good sign that Halle and her lawyers are winning arguments in court.
