Tyler Perry is busting through doors and knocking folks over on the set of his new movie.
The creator of all things Madea is fitting into his new role as a young Alex Cross very nicely. Video from the set of I, Alex Cross shows Tyler running through one of his scenes (literally), and he’s not letting anything stand in his way.
I, Alex Cross, currently shooting in Cleveland, is the first major role for Tyler outside of one of his own productions. Tyler did have a small part in 2009’s Star Trek, however, as Admiral Richard Barnett
I, Alex Cross sees Tyler rebooting the role of Alex Cross, made famous by Morgan Freeman in movies such as Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. The action film is a film adaption of the James Patterson book, where Alex tracks down rapist (played by Matthew Fox).
Tyler rolled right into working on I, Alex as soon as Tyler Perry Studios’ upcoming film, Good Deeds, wrapped production. There’s no word on when either film should be expected to hit theaters.
