    Game hits #1 with ‘R.E.D.’

    Game has knocked Jay-Z and Kanye West from their throne atop the charts. It’s just been announced that Game’s new release The R.E.D. Album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.

    As of yesterday, 97,528 copies of Game’s album have been sold since it dropped on August 23. That’s giving the Los Angeles rapper a lot to celebrate.

    "It feels amazing to be back on top!" Game exclaimed in a statement, thanking his fans for allowing him to take a brief break from the sound booth before hitting the masses with new material. "My fans are incredibly loyal. I was able to step away from music for some much-needed personal time with my family. And now that I’ve returned with a new album, they’ve come out strong to support me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my fans. Period."


    Kelly Rowland to do ‘Kimmel’

    Kelly Rowland will be bringing a little "Motivation" to late-night TV later this month.

    According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Kelly is slated to perform on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on September 26 as part of his concert series. Supposedly she’ll be performing "Lay It On Me" during her set.

    Speaking of her new single, Kelly is reportedly going to be shooting the video for "Lay It On Me" this weekend in Los Angeles.


    Brandy talks new record deal

    Brandy is gushing about her new deal with RCA and Chameleon Records.

    The "Top of the World" singer sat down with "Good Day LA" to catch them up on what’s going on with her. After talking about her upcoming gig on "Drop Dead Diva," she shared how much easier things with her singing career are going now that she’s landed at a new label.

    “I’m working with people that believe in me,” Brandy said. “It’s hard to work with people that think you’re done. … I love what I do and if I can touch just two people, then I’ve done my job.”

    Nick Cannon shows off

    Nick Cannon decided to show off a bit via Twitter on Wednesday. The music producer and TeenNick CEO shared a photo of his new $250K watch whose shine nearly put the sun to shame.

    “This is what frivolous spending looks like! Don’t worry, we balance it out with tons of philanthropy,” he tweeted.





    Amber Rose joins ‘Gang’

    Amber Rose is shooting the follow-up to the 2003 woman-powered Western film, Gang of Roses.

    "On the set of Gang of Roses 2. The Hubby and I shot our scene yesterday… It was really cute! U Rosebuds & Taylors r gonna Love it :-)," she wrote before tweeting a picture of herself and Wiz Khalifa with Teyana Taylor, which you can check out below.



    Free returns to BET

    The rumor was that former “106 & Park” host, Free, was taking over the late-night talk slot that’s been supposedly vacated by Mo’Nique.

    While Free has confirmed that she’s returning to BET, she won’t be taking over Mo’Nique’s job.

    Free will be hosting the latest season of “Lens on Talent,” she explained in her blog.

    The series shines a spotlight on up-and-coming filmmakers.

    “I’m humbled to see that you all are rooting for me to get back on TV. I do have a very exciting project in the works. Can’t wait to share. But I am not in talks for a late night show,” she wrote.


    Lenny does ‘Letterman’

    Lenny Kravitz performed “Stand” on David Letterman’s talk show Tuesday night.

    The song is from Lenny’s new CD, Black & White America, which is a fitting title for the biracial rock star.
