    Jada thanks ‘HawthoRNe’ fans

Jada Pinkett Smith looked on the bright side of things after TNT announced her drama series, “HawthoRNe,” would not be returning.

Instead of condemning the network for giving her the axe, Jada focused on all the TV viewers who supported her show.

“I want to say thank you to all the fans for being Hawthorne soldiers. All our facebook fans…twitter soldiers and viewers…you held us down,” she tweeted Friday.

Jada, who has made a name for herself in both TV and film, assured her fans that the end of “HawthoRNe” isn’t the end of her career.

“You know there is more to come…believe it!” she wrote.

    ‘The Help’ remains on top

For the third consecutive week, The Help has managed to remain in the No. 1 spot at the box office.

The domestic total for the film has reached $123.4 million, according to “Access Hollywood,” earning $19 million over the Labor Day weekend.

Some critics believe weak competition is one reason for the film’s success.

The Help is literally in a league of its own at the end of a summer movie season where the competition was virtually non-existent,” said Paul Dergarabedian, a box-office analyst for Hollywood.com. “It’s a really good movie that happened to land in the perfect spot at the perfect time,” he told “Access Hollywood.”
