    Mel B names baby

    Mel B is going with a very posh name for her daughter.

    RadarOnline.com reports that Scary Spice has decided to dub her newest bundle of joy Madison Brown Belafonte.

    Madison is Mel’s third child, but her first with hubby Stephen Belafonte. The new baby joins big sisters Phoenix and Angel, Mel’s daughter with Eddie Murphy.


    Wale announces tour

    Wale will preview his next album on the road! The Washington, D.C., rapper has just announced dates for The Ambition Tour.

    The tour kicks off October 2 in Minneapolis at the Epic Concert Venue before rolling through Baltimore (October 6), Chicago (October 18), Raleigh (October 20), New York (October 28) and Boston (October 31).

    The tour is set to promote Wale’s first album under the Maybach Music Group, titled Ambition, which is slated for release on November 2.

    Wale will also be making stops in Houston (November 10), Los Angeles (November 15) and Seattle (November 25), before wrapping the tour up in Atlanta on December 8. For a full list of tour dates and pre-sale ticket information, visit Wale’s official website.


    Mindless Behavior preps for debut album

    Teen heartthrobs Mindless Behavior are getting ready to make things official with their debut album!

    Singersroom.com reports that the group will be dropping #1 Girl on September 20 before heading out on the Scream Tour with Diggy, New Boyz, Hamilton Park and Jacob Lattimore at the end of the month.

    Mindless Behavior is accustomed to life on the road as the teen group recently had the honor of being Janet Jackson’s opening act. They’ve also toured with Justin Bieber.

    Nicole Richie squashes fashion feud rumors

    Nicole Richie is stamping out rumors that she and fellow fashionista Jessica Simpson are butting heads.

    People.com reported that Nicole and Jessica have been at each other’s throats while shooting their reality TV competition "Fashion Star."

    "I’ll tell you right now that that couldn’t be further from the truth," Nicole said during her visit to ‘"On Air with Ryan Seacrest" yesterday. "I actually love and adore Jessica."

    In fact, Nicole said that she’s known and liked Jessica for years! "Who she is is someone who’s very kind, very sweet and extremely smart and a great businesswoman and someone that I really respect," Nicole added. "I actually couldn’t love someone or respect someone more."

    Bishop Jordan debuts new book

    President Obama might have his own ideas about how to create jobs, but Bishop E. Bernard Jordan is presenting readers with God’s plan to fix your money problems.

    Evelyn Lozada tweets again

    It was a short Twitter hiatus for “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada.

    Earlier this week, she swore off the social media site after a rumor about her alleged infidelity appeared on VH1.

    However, she returned to Twitter on Thursday, explaining to followers that she was cleaning out her closets and would be posting photos of the items on the site for them.


    ‘The Protector’ cancelled

    After only one season, Lifetime’s “The Protector,” starring Tisha Campbell-Martin, has been cancelled.

    The police drama, which Tisha considered her return to dramatic TV, won’t be picked up for a second season, according to Deadline.com.

    The show was moved mid-season from its Sunday night slot to a later Monday nighttime, suggesting that it hadn’t quite found a following.


    Larenz Tate still employed

    The series finale of his show, “Rescue Me,” just aired, but Larenz Tate isn’t exactly headed to the unemployment line.

    The Love Jones and Menace II Society actor is headed to BET in the new made-for-TV film, Gun Hill.

    Gun Hill is “a fast-paced, gritty cop drama which brings a fresh spin to the Cain and Abel saga set in New York City. According to a BET press release, identical twins with little in common—one is a cop, the other a con artist—change in an instant as their lives become intertwined one fateful night when the cop is killed and the con assumes his identity.” 

    For Larenz fans, that means they’ll get double the pleasure as the actor will be playing both roles.
