Kevin Hart is chuckling all the way to the bank with his new movie, Laugh At My Pain.
The comedian has just announced that his new movie raked in big bucks over the weekend despite its small release. According to a press release from Kevin’s camp, Laugh At My Pain earned more than $2 million.
Laugh At My Pain debuted on only 97 screens Friday, but his box office returns averaged $20,619 per engagement.
While Codeblack Entertainment and Hartbeat Productions were counting all the cash the movie earned, Kevin’s film was also breaking records! Laugh At My Pain became the best peforming concert movie since Martin Lawrence’s Runteldat.
Laugh At My Pain also became the first film debuting in under 100 theaters to earn more than $2 million during opening weekend. That’s a distinction once held by the 2002 musical film Chicago.
