Kim Zolciak may be leaving the Atlanta Housewives behind as Bravo’s just given her her own spin-off.
NeNe Leakes might not have her favorite frienemy to fight with on the next season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." According to The Huffington Post, Bravo will be plucking Kim from the hit show to head-up a series of her own.
While most assumed that if anyone from Atlanta would get her own show that it would be NeNe, an unidentified network source said that Kim was the natural choice for the next franchise spin-off.
Kim was the first Housewife to release her own single on the show with "Tardy for the Party" and she has a young son with NFL beau Kroy Bierman, whom she met on "RHOA."
"Just like Bethenny [Frankel], [Kim] fell in love and got pregnant while taping the show," the source said. "She’s the perfect choice for the next lady to get her own show.”
The only other housewife to spawn a show from the franchise is Bethenny, fomerly of "The Real Housewives of New York," who stars in "Bethenny Ever After." Supposedly, Bravo will be employing the format of Bethenny’s show, since it’s a proven winner.
“Kim’s new show is going to follow the very successful Bethenny formula: A new mom and her fiancé trying to make everything work," the insider revealed. "Juggling baby, boyfriend and career. But instead of all those trips to a therapist that Bethenny made, expect Kim to work out her problems at the nail salon with friends.”
