TV One is about to show viewers that Jackée is just as much of a character in real life as she is on TV.
The actress will catch fans up on her life next week with her very own episode of "Life After"! The show will track Jackée’s story from her humble beginnings growing up on a farm all the way to present day.
Much of the staff at S2S grew up watching Jackee sidle her way across the screen as Sandra on "227," and raising Tia and Tamera as Lisa on "Sister, Sister." What many people may not know, though, is that the outrageous actress started out as a school teacher.
It’s just one of the interesting nuggets viewers will learn about when TV One airs "Life After: 227" on September 28. When Jackee was approached about doing her own episode, she literally saw her life flash before her eyes, which was an odd experience for her at first.
"All my life ran through my mind. It’s going to be odd looking at me, me, me, me, me, me, me," Jackée told S2S, noting that she’s excited that her episode was handled by such a "top-shelf" crew. Still, she’s not sure what to expect when the story of her life is condensed into an hour-long special. "I’m definintely conflicted because its the kind of life story you want to wait and write about yourself."
Bits of Jackée’s history are mixed with clips of what she’s up to these days and cutaways of her talking about some of her life’s biggest memories. TV One can’t call it "Life After" if its subjects don’t get to show the world what’s going on with them today!
The actress told us that filming the show was actually a lot of fun for her. She said that although she hasn’t seen the show just yet, she’s a little nervous for the episode to air.
"The process was process was painless, but once I see it, I don’t know what the reaction is going to be," Jackée confessed. "I don’t even like to watch myself on reruns."
We’ve seen the show, and we think she’ll love it! Tune in to TV One on September 28, when the network airs "Life After: 227" at 10 p.m. EST to see if you agree.
