Adele has decided to be friends with the ex who inspired her chart-topping album, 21.
Adele announced the reformed alliance at a concery in London. The 23-year-old said they’ve had enough time apart and she’s ready to move on. The 10 million copies sold and a Grammy might have contributed to that choice.
“The album helped me get over splitting up with my boyfriend. It helped me
forgive and I hope that he has forgiven himself,” said soulful singer Adele to UK’s The Independent.
This same anonymous heart-breaker was demanding royalties a few months back from Adele’s album 19.
“For about a week he was calling and was deadly serious about it,” she told The Sun. "Finally, I said, ‘Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.”
Seems like that’s all in the past and Adele is ready to make up. And although she admits to still thinking of him as “someone that she loves” she said she can handle the friendship.
“It’s alright, I know what I’m doing. Now with what’s going on with the album around the world, it’s important to share it with him because it’s marvelous what has happened,” Adele said. “He changed my life, I can’t deny that."
