Cee-Lo Green does ‘American Dad’
Cee-Lo Green helped Seth MacFarlane herald in the new season of "American Dad" by playing a possessed appliance. The singer pulled double duty by narrating the season 8 premiere of the animated series and voicing an evil hot tub. Little known fact: Gabourey Sidibe also lent her voice to the episode.

Frankie Lons knows how to shake a leg. Keyshia Cole’s mother shot the video for her new song "The Frankie Leg" in Atlanta last week, and she just released a sneak peek of the video.

Vesta Williams autopsy complete
Vesta Williams’ body has just undergone an autopsy. The singer was found dead in California hotel room last week at the age of 53.
TMZ.com reports that prescription pills mat have contributed to Vesta’s death, but a toxicology report will take up to 6 weeks. A number of empty bottles were found around her room, but it’s not clear whether she died as the result of an accident or deliberate suicide.
‘Lion King’ still rules
More than 10 years after its debut, The Lion King has roared back into theaters and reclaimed its place on the throne.
The Disney feature film, now in 3D, is showing in theaters across the country and claimed the #1 spot at the box office for a second week in a row.
The re-release has earned $22.1 million thus far, according to Entertainment Weekly. The film out-earned four new movies, including one starring Brad Pitt.
The film is scheduled for DVD/Blue-ray release in one week.
LL Cool J honored
LL Cool J will receive the I Am Hip Hop Icon Award from BET next week when the network’s Hip Hop Awards are taped in Atlanta.
Upon hearing the news, the “I Need Love” artist who first came on the scene in the ‘80s rocking a Kango hat and thick gold chain, tweeted “Thank you BET. #humbled.”
“What began for LL Cool J in the nascent, burgeoning rap and hip-hop scene of the 80’s, has now seeped throughout the musical and cultural phenomenon that is today’s hip-hop. All the while, LL Cool J has remained a musical and cultural force,” read a press release from BET.
The Hip Hop Awards will be taped Saturday in Atlanta and is scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 11.
