The Smiths sell show to ABC

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have sold a new family sitcom to ABC.

Not only is their marriage intact, but so is their working relationship. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has secured a multicamera comedy from Will and Jada.

The as-yet untitled show will center around singer Anthony "Romeo" Santos and will be produced by ABC Studios in partnership with the Smiths’ Overbrook Entertainment.

Romeo will play a Dominican-American guy who tries to adhere to his father’s traditional values while working to achieve his version of the American dream. The relationship is based on Romeo’s own with his dad.

The show will be written by Chris Pappas and Mike Bernier, while Will and Jada will serve as executive producers.

It’s not clear when the show will go into production. In the meantime, take a look at Romeo’s collaboration with Usher below!
