Will Eddie Murphy return to ‘SNL’?
Eddie Murphy hasn’t returned to “Saturday Night Live,” since he left the show to start a successful film career.
However, rumors are buzzing that the host of the 2012 Oscars may just appear on the skit-comedy series along with Tower Heist co-star Ben Stiller.
Ben will serve as host on this weekend’s episode, and the New York Post reported that “work is going on behind the scenes for Murphy to pop up.”
Several other “SNL” alums who’ve gone on to bigger and better things have returned, but Eddie has been MIA for nearly two decades.
While on the show, Eddie created memorable caricatures, including portrayals of James Brown and the fictional characters Buckwheat and Mr. Robinson.
