‘Soul Food’ being reheated?

Could the beloved Showtime series "Soul Food" be making a comeback on network television?

Twentieth Century Fox is interested in bringing the show back to TV seven years after it faded to black on Showtime, according to Fishbowl LA. The series, which aired from 2000 to 2004, was based on the 1997 movie Soul Food.

A source said that the project is still in the early stages of development, so no one (cast or crew) has been attached to the project as of yet. However, the idea is to update "Soul Food" for a new generation. None of the original cast members from the show have commented on the news at this time.

There’s no word on whether the revamped version of "Soul Food" would air on Fox or if it would be shopped to other networks.
