Tionne Watkins is like everyone else. With her $1.2 million home, she found herself in a place where many do… in debt.
Though you may know her as one-third of the Grammy Award-winning trio TLC, being T-Boz alone is not enough to make ends meet. She only brings in $1,200 a month in royalties, according to TMZ. Apparently TLC’s 10 top 10 singles, four number one hits, and four multi-platinum albums, still could not keep T-Boz from bankruptcy.
According to alleged documents filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, T-Boz owes creditors $768,642.99.
The 41-year-old singer says she’s owed $250,00 in child support. Racking in an $11,700 per month income, and having almost $9,000 in monthly expenses, perhaps the unpaid money for her daughter with rapper Mack 10 would come in handy.
The well seems to have run dry on the "Waterfall" singer’s cash flow, but perhaps shielding herself from creditors will allow her to rebuild.
T-Boz, who suffers from Sickle Cell Anemia, was once a contestant on NBC’s "Celebrity Apprentice." Although more recent contestant NeNe Leakes of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," boasted that her Trump money has helped make her "very rich," not all the show’s stars have been able to credit the series with fattening their bank accounts.
