Tami Roman unsure about ‘BBW’ friendships

Tami Roman said friendships among her co-stars may not be the same after "Basketball Wives" season 4.

Although the cast of "Basketball Wives" is still taping, Tami Roman gave a little insight on what the fans should expect during the upcoming season.

“This season is filled with a lot of twists and turns. Alliances that were there or that people have followed through the ‘Basketball Wives’ journey that they thought were solid, some of those fall by the wayside,” she told radio personality Egypt.

Egypt mentioned recent reports about Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada getting into an altercation at Shaunie O’Neal’s 40th birthday bash earlier this month. Even though their friendship started to crumble during season 3, the audience will have to wait for the show to air to see how their relationship plays out.

“This is the one time—and we’re still taping—that I really don’t know how this is gonna end. I don’t know whose gonna be friends, whose gonna hate each other, because it’s really all over the place, but I will tell you, from my standpoint, the person that I’ve always been cool with is Royce and Shaunie.

"I’ve always been cool with Royce and I think that that will continue. Royce and I know how to curse each other out and then just keep it movin’ and laugh about it later. Everybody else is not there with it," she said.

On-camera disputes aren’t all Tami has to deal with.

TMZ reported last week that Tami’s former manager Jerry Silverhardt had accused her of not paying him money he’s owed.

Although she said that Jerry managed her for years, even before appearing on “Basketball Wives,” she said she was not satisfied with his performance during season 2, so she found someone else. “I terminated him before we started negotiating contract for season 3.”

There’s no dispute that the former “Real World: Los Angeles” housemate paid her ex-manager for season 2. However, the two disagree over how much Jerry should be compensated for Tami’s subsequent work.

“Jerry claims Tami paid him for season 2—but then left him out to dry after she ended their relationship in February … refusing to pay for work she did on the recently completed season 3,” TMZ reported last week.

Tami never felt it necessary since he was fired by that point. "I pay people based on what you do and that had always been our understanding and our agreement. So, that had always been our understanding and that had always worked for the past eight years,” she said.

According to Tami, this battle between her and Jerry on this same issue has been going on for a year now, and he is now getting the media involved.

“This attack on me is baseless. It’s ridiculous. He even makes himself look even more inept by saying we had an oral agreement,” she said.
