Kardashian deals die

The famous Kardashian sisters are everywhere these days, from their own reality shows to multiple product endorsement deals, but one place you won’t see the famous trio of Kim, Kourtney and Khloé, is on the cover of a Kardashian magazine or scaled down as Barbie dolls.

Mom manager Kris Jenner’s demanding ways allegedly put the kibosh on the pending deal to create a Kardashian-themed magazine with American Media Inc. (AMI) , according to MTV News, and The New York Post.

Sources stated that Kris wanted full editorial approval on any content Kardashian related in any and all of the magazines associated with AMI. "AMI chief David Pecker made it clear that there was no way he was going to tell his editors what stories they could and couldn’t do," a source explained, adding that the company "balked" at her stipulation.

A rep for the family told the Post, "Kris has never had a conversation with AMI regarding this issue [of her demands]."

This all happened on the heels of the recently published Star magazine, cover story stating that that Khloé Kardashian was not the biological daughter of the late Robert Kardashian. The Post source was also quoted as saying “the allegations contained in the Star article about Khloé not being a Kardashian are completely fabricated, false and untrue. Robert Kardashian is absolutely her biological father, so of course she [Kris Jenner] was upset over their story.

The Kardashian brand suffered another blow when a Mattel rep recently confirmed to MTV News that they were not doing a Kardashian doll. Just this Christmas Eve, Kim was tweeting to a Barbie insider and dropping hints. Kim had tweeted, "Merry Christmas Barbs @BarbieStyle! Long time no see! What did Ken get you for Christmas? Miss you doll!" Then, "Barbie" reportedly responded, "Happy Doll-idays to you too @KimKardashian! See you in 2012?" To which Kim replied something about seeing one another quite a bit and that she’d be "shopping soon."
