VH1 scouting Vanessa Bryant?

Is VH1 is hoping to add Vanessa Bryant to its roster for "Basketball Wives: LA" next season?

Jackie Christie might be dethroned as the queen bee of "Basketball Wives: LA."

Sources close to production revealed to TMZ.com that VH1 is preparing to give Vanessa "an extremely lucrative pitch" in hoped that she’ll join the show.

The tipsters said that VH1 would never have extended such an offer to Vanessa before she split from Kobe Bryant because she would not have been open to the idea.

Now that Kobe and Vanessa are no longer together, the network is hoping that she’ll be a littler more receptive. The franchise has also raked in enough revenue to be able to afford Vanessa.

According to insiders, producers know that however much money it takes to get her onboard for the show would be well worth the investment. “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level," one source said.

Should Vanessa accept the network’s offer, she’d immediately be made the star of the show, despite being a cast newbie.

So far any efforts are being kept under tight wraps: VH1 states, "Production has not reached out to Vanessa at this time.”
