Monica announces new release date
Monica’s New Life is on the way…again.
After a couple holdups, including the addition of her Brandy collaboration "It All Belongs To Me," Amazon.com has revealed that Monica’s next album will drop on April 3.
This would be the third time the album has been pushed back. Originally, fans expected to get their hands on New Life by the end of 2011. Later it was announced that it would come out in March. Hopefully this drop date sticks!

Is Amber Rose tatted up?
Is Amber Rose the latest celebrity to ink her face?
The socialite has been seen around town with a lightning bolt style tattoo over her left eye. The artwork begins about an inch under her hairline and extends to her cheekbone. Some describe it as similar to the tattoo Mike Tyson has on his noggin.
It’s possible the design on her face is a temporary one, but Amber hasn’t addressed it at all.
Take a look.
Sanaa Lathan talks Pantene and natural hair
Actress Sanaa Lathan, a new spokesperson for Pantene hair products, recently spoke to Afrobella about how she cares for her locks given the demands of her career.
“I do not have a relaxer. I stopped doing relaxers probably in my early 20s,” said Sanaa, who often plays roles that demand her hair look straightened.
“Generally, in between jobs I have my own hair, and I then I’ll use assisted hair for roles because when you’re on set every day, and they’re using the heat, you really don’t want to damage your hair,” she said. “So, I’ll do partial weaves, or I’ll do wigs, hair pieces, but right now I’m in between films. So, I have my hair right now.”
Although it may sound like a lot of work to constantly switch styles, Sanaa said she doesn’t mind.
“I go from the flatiron press-and-curl to wearing it bushy to cornrowing it and taking it out. The key is changing it up, and also that’s the fun of it,” she said.

Rick Ross returns to the stage
Rick Ross is returning to the stage as he headlines one of the most anticipated concerts in DC. The show will take place on February 23 at DAR Constitution Hall. Island Def Jam artist Jeremih will also be featured on the tour.
This tour comes just months after Rick Ross suffered a few health scares that delayed production of God Forgives… I Don’t. While traveling in mid-October of 2011, Rick Ross suffered at least two seizures that caused a stir in the hip-hop community. After the health scare, Rick Ross visited BET’s “106 & Park” to clear up rumors, where he attributed the seizures to nothing but lack of sleep and poor work habits.
Like his fans, Rick is excited for the release of the album, which features big name artists such as Nicki Minaj. “I’m excited to see the response to this album,” Rick told Rolling Stone. “I expect it to be bigger than my previous one.”
