Ciara talks new music

Ciara can’t exactly state when fans are going to get new music, but it’ll be good when it gets here!

The "Promise" singer is currently working on a new album, and she thinks she’s got some great material for music lovers coming. Ciara told Shade45 radio host  Sway Calloway that she and LA Reid had a late-night listening session with some other people in his office, and it went well.

"We were all vibing to the records," she shared.

Unfortunately, Ciara didn’t say how many tracks she’s completed for the upcoming album or how many more she hopes to record before solidifying a track list. That’s just not a big concern for her.

"It’s not even so much about the number count; it’s just really about the vibe," Ciara said. "It’s really important for me to take my time with this record. It’s really, really good energy."

It seems as though Ciara transforms with each album and Sway wanted to know who fans can expect to meet with her new studio project. Although she didn’t quite say what listeners can expect from her, the singer told him that her fans have really allowed her to grow as an artist.

"I’ve been able to make mistakes in front of my fans. It’s kind of fun to be able to learn as I grow and to know that my fans are growing with me. I feel so much good energy," Ciara explained.

Besides, Ciara’s got the public image thing on lock. Right now she’s more concerned with the bottom line.

"At this point it’s important for me to be the best businesswoman I can be. I really want to build my empire. I want a strong empire"

"It’s about building a brand. I look at things completely different than I would have with my first album. I’ve learned so much. It’s actually exciting. I feel like there is so much I can do, so much I can accomplish."
