    Nick Cannon quits morning show

Nick Cannon’s going to kill himself if he doesn’t take a break! He announced this morning on New York’s 92.3 that his doctor has told him to lighten his professional load.

“Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule," Nick told listeners, thanking his co-hosts and show staff for all of their support. "I will continue to host my syndicated ‘Cannon’s Countdown’ weekend show and look forward to contributing to 92.3 NOW whenever possible. Even Superman has to sleep.”

This comes on the heels of news that Nick was briefly in the hospital again last week to treat two blood clots in his lung and enlarged right ventricle. He explained that the clots are actually a hazard of his jet-setting lifestyle.

"It was quite serious," Nick explained. "I was trying to downplay it a lot, even in my own mind. I travel a lot. Anyone who flies a lot can be a victim to getting blood clots because it can start in your legs or your lower back. That, on top of my previous condition made me more prone to it."

    Janet Jackson joining ‘X Factor’?

Could Janet Jackson fill one of the open spots on the "X Factor"? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Janet let it slip that she’d like to join the show.

With both Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger making their exits at the end of last season, there is certainly room for her on the show. Supposedly talks to make her a judge on "The X Factor" are still in the early stages. But it appears that the series might be in the market for a diva, as it was reported last week that Whitney Houston was being considered for a seat on the judges’ panel.

During a chat with Anderson Cooper, Janet had to correct him when he announced that she was already part of the series. “No, I am not,” Janet said. “But that’s all I really think I should say.”
