Kesha Nichols comes off the bench

It’s been a long time coming, but Kesha Nichols finally made her debut on "Basketball Wives: Miami" last night.

The newest dancer to join the show admitted that VH1 has been trying to get her on the time for a while.

"I actually took a very long journey to get to the show. Producers have been wooing me since season 1," Kesha revealed. "I wasn’t ready in my life to become a reality star just yet. But, with season 4, I think it’s the right time for me to make my TV debut."

Kesha said she needed to get her life back on track after splitting from her longtime love, Richard Jefferson, after their wedding was called off back in 2009. The would-be wedding made headlines because it was reported that he’d canceled their nuptials by email just days before the wedding.

The "Basketball Wives: Miami" star cleared up a few details of the split, though: “What you read and what you hear are not what happened. I was not left at the altar, I did not get broken up with by email, we actually broke up a week before the wedding," she said.

    Allen Iverson considers soccer

Allen Iverson might be leaving basketball behind for a little while. The Loop21.com reports that the former NBA player has been offered a contract to play indoor soccer.

The Rochester Lancers of the Major Indoor Soccer League are trying to strike up a deal with Allen. They’re offering him $20,000 a game to start, and he could make an additional $5,000 for every goal he scores. He would also recieve a bonus for every victory his team gets and he’d get a cut of the Lancers’ merchandise sales.

There are 24 games in a season for the MISL, so Allen stands to rake in at least $480,000 just for getting on the field.

"Allen Iverson is one of the premier athletes of our time," Lancers Vice President Rich Randall said in a statement. "With his athleticism and competitive hunger, I think he can be a great fit with our team and fans as we make an important playoff push, while also driving interest to an exciting, growing sport."

This comes after Allen played just one season of basketball with a team in Turkey.
