Laz Alonso books NBC drama with Meagan Good

NBC is lining up a great-looking cast for its upcoming drama, "Notorious."

It’s already been reported that Meagan Good will star in the show as an undercover cop, but now Laz Alonso has joined the cast!

Laz announced the good news via Twitter. "Where God closes 1 door he opens another…. Just gotta #Believe," he wrote, possibly referring to his recent exit from A&E’s "Breakout Kings." "With that being said… RT  @blackfilm: @lazofficalto co-star with Meagan Good in NBC series ‘Notorious.’"

Michelle Obama chats with Yolanda Adams

The first lady got an early start this morning to deliver some great news!

Michelle Obama called into "The Yolanda Adams Morning Show" to announce that she’ll be releasing a book, "American Grown." The book, scheduled to be out toward the end of May, tells the story of the White House garden and community gardens around the country.

The book appears to be a natural extension of the garden’s popularity. "It started with a seed in the ground, and it’s turned into a national conversation about our kids’ health," Michelle explained.

Mrs. Obama dished that other world leaders have asked her and President Barack Obama about the veggie patch.

She hopes that the book will inspire more people to garden and set a good example for their kids. "We are our children’s first and best role models," Michelle said. "We can be role models in everything we do. Kids are watching everything."
