Most high school students will tell you: Prom is a big deal. It just is.
When you’re younger, you imagine what it will be like. Hollywood offers up glamorous images of what it should be like. When the time comes, most teens already have an outfit and date in mind.
For some girls, though, prom remains a distant fantasy. The cost of hair, makeup and a dress just isn’t in their family’s budgets.
The Enchanting Women Foundation wants to make every girl’s dream a reality, but they need your help. The organization is asking the public to donate gently used prom dresses and shoes for the 2nd Annual Prom-A-Thon, a drive which will give 100 girls in need in the Washington, D.C., something fabulous to wear for the big night.
Dresses can be dropped off at:
163 Fleet St.
National Harbor, MD 20745
Donations, which can also be mailed in, should be in by April 14. For more information, click here.
