Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy talk Hollywood friendships

Sometimes when actors portray an onscreen friendship, fans are disappointed to find out that it was indeed all an act, but Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy said the Think Like a Man cast truly bonded.

“As you do more in the entertainment business, you meet people. When you meet people relationships are built,” Kevin told S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown. “Michael’s a friend now. On set, it was great to be around him and I respected his craft before I got there, but afterward I have a different appreciation for him as a person because I got to know him.”

For Michael, who played a violent alcoholic in Tyler Perry’s film version of For Colored Girls, his character in Think Like a Man is a welcome change.

“You love the challenge of diversity in your roles. I don’t want to do the same thing every time and working with Kevin has been an interesting intro into the comedy world,” he said. “I’ve learned so much from him.”

Think Like a Man boasts an impressive list of Black actors, including Chris Brown, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Terrence J, Romany Malco, Gabrielle Union and Taraji P. Henson.

The film hits theaters this month, but Kevin joked that he’s going to turn his attention toward a different film genre now.

“For me, I’m going to porn. I’m just at a point in my life where the movies were great, but I feel like ladies wanna see it,” he said.
