After Sheree Whitfield brought up NeNe Leakes’ son’s arrest during the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion, her “tall” friends all had something to say about it.
“I was shocked that anyone would try to use children as a line of attack. Isn’t that bad etiquette to try to embarrass someone’s child?” wrote Marlo Hampton, who administered an oral etiquette quiz to her co-stars in Africa.
NeNe’s other buddy, Cynthia Bailey, shared a similar sentiment.
“The one thing that all of us have in common is that we are mothers. My child means the world to me, and I would do anything to protect her. We signed up to expose our lives on reality TV, not our children,” wrote the usually mild-mannered Cynthia. “You come for my kids, all bets are off!”
The ladies of the Talls crew were all riled up in response to Sheree’s comments about NeNe’s son, Bryson Bryant, who was arrested for stealing a razor. The ladies were arguing over NeNe’s “I’m very rich, b!tc#” phrase, and Sheree suggested that a rich woman’s son wouldn’t need to resort to theft.
“The point I was trying to make on the reunion is if you are so “rich” it would make sense to leave petty cash around the house for your kids to purchase things needed when you’re not around,” Sheree tweeted the day following the show’s airing.
While Cynthia and Marlo clearly had their friend’s back, NeNe hasn’t said a lot about Sheree’s comments.
“I really don’t have much to say about the reunion,” she wrote on her Bravo blog. “Shots were fired.”
NeNe’s been relatively quiet so far, but her fans have had lots to say.
