Jaleel White narrowly escaped elimination in Tuesday episode of "Dancing With the Stars."
Viewers and critics alike are still flabbergasted by Sherri Shepherd’s early ouster last week, so we’re sure they were little more diligent about voting Monday night.
This week’s elimination presented a new challenge in that both couples at risk of ejection had to battle it out for their spot in next week’s show.
Given last weeks results we were on edge for our faves, Gladys Knight, Donald Driver, Roshon Fegan and Jaleel. All of them did an amazing job, but we know their run on the show heavily depends on viewer votes and judges’ scores.
We breathed a sigh of relief when Gladys got through elimination safely, and we expected Donald to make it through as well. Roshon, who was in the bottom two with Sherri at the last elimination, earned a spot on next week’s show as well.
Yet again, not all of our faves were sparred from the glare of the red light as it was announced that Jaleel would be facing off against Gavin DeGraw in a cha cha battle.
As awful as it sounds to say, we knew that Jaleel was safe as soon as we saw that he was going up against Gavin. While Gavin has a beautiful voice and heartfelt lyrics, he’s not so great with the moves. He’s all types of awkward on the floor, but we definitely give him an A for effort.
Honestly, though it was no competition. Jaleel wiped the floor with the crooner to survive another week as all three judges chose him as the better dancer. They each had their fair share of missteps, but it looked like Gavin had a lot of poses as opposed to actual moves.
