Shaunie O’Neal admits ‘BBW’ bullying

"Basketball Wives" creator Shaunie O’Neal sort of admitted that the girls on her team don’t always play so nice.

"Sometimes it can be a little bit of some bullying going on because of the personalities being a lot stronger," Shaunie told HipHollywood.com. "Evelyn [Lozada's] personality is a lot stronger than [Jennifer Williams'] , so it does seem like it’s bullying."

"Basketball Wives" viewers know that Evelyn and Jen have been fighting all season. First they had a shouting match during drinks. Then they had an altercation at Shaunie’s birthday party, where Evelyn hit Jen in the head with her purse. Even Evelyn’s assistant, Nia Crooks, has hauled off and slapped Jen! Despite their dust-ups, Shaunie doesn’t see why Jen would feel as though she’s being picked on.

"I don’ think Jen would think she’s bullied," said Shaunie. "I don’t think she would want to take that role of being bullied because I think she’s strong in her own way. It’s just a different way of deal with it."

Admittedly, Evelyn’s not the only strong personality on the show as Shaunie points to Tami Roman.

"Tami…I love Tami, so I don’t ever want to call her a bully because I know Tami’s heart," said Shaunie. "Tami is a great individual, but she’s one of those people—just don’t cross her. Keep everything real honest and on the table."

Shaunie warns, though, that it’s never a good thing gets back to Tami because then there’s going to be a problem.

"I hear bullying a lot, and I get how that can be taken. I think I’m just on the defense mode that I don’t want it to be bullying," said Shaunie. Find out how she handles the volatile moments when you watch the video below.

The most recent instance of bullying has been Nia slapping Jen, which has resulted in a lawsuit. Jennifer’s legal action isn’t sitting too well with Evelyn, Nia or Tami, who seems to be Team Evelyn on this matter. But the "Basketball Wives" star recently blogged about the situation to make her true feelings about the fight and the fallout known.

For starters, Tami said she can see both sides of the dispute and she doesn’t really believe that either side is right. And in any case, she feels that it should never have come to blows.

"Everything about this incident is WRONG! In my opinion both parties played a part in this fiasco," Tami blogged, stating that she’s not okay with physical violence. "I do NOT condone what happened between Nia and Jen. Let me say that again in case you aren’t clear…I, Tami Roman, DO NOT condone what happened between Nia and Jen."

Since hands were thrown, though, Tami felt it would have better served Jen to deal with the situation then and there. Failing that, Tami  thinks Jen and Nia should have sat down to clear the air instead of handling the attack the way Jen said White people do: with lawyers.

"Maybe it would be better served if they both do what ‘mature people’ do (no race needed) and meet to have a dialogue about the incident…no cameras…no audience and hopefully put this behind them," advised Tami, who feel that Jen only brought a lawsuit against Nia to save face. "I just think that Jen’s pride has been hurt."
