There’s buzz that Bravo may have already found a replacement for Sheree Whitfield and it’s not Marlo Hampton.
With Kandi Burruss revealing during last week’s "Kandi Koated Nights" that taping for season 5 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is underway, there could already be a new Georgia peach in the bunch. A source close to production reportedly told StraightFromTheA.com that Kenya Moore has joined the cast.
If the gossip is to be believed, Kenya would be a fairly high-profile addition to the cast. People may recognize Kenya from various guest appearances on shows like "Girlfriends," but she made a name for herself as Miss USA in 1993.
Aside from being able to trade acting anecdotes with NeNe Leakes, Kenya would have a few things in common with other women on the cast. Like Kandi, she had some level of celebrity before joining "RHOA." She can also chat with Cynthia Bailey about different types of modeling as Kenya has done a couple of shoots for men’s magazines, including Smooth.
There is a hitch in the plan, however, as Kenya is not actually an Atlanta resident just yet. Rumor has it, she’s looking for property in the ATL, which might provide her a suitable intro for "RHOA."
It had also been reported that Bravo was actually looking for two housewives to add to the cast (maybe Marlo stands a chance after all), so it remains to be seen who might fill the other open slot. Supposedly, Ne-Yo’s babymama Monyetta Shaw turned down a spot on the show and talks to add Toya Wright to the show have ceased.
