Benjamin Charles Watson just sounds like the name of a gentleman, and this budding actor didn’t disappoint when we asked him how he would treat a special lady on a first date.
Ben’s fresh face may look familiar if you’ve seen the CW’s hot new show “The L.A. Complex.” He plays Tariq, an ambitious artist trying to catch a break in hip-hop while hiding a huge secret that could derail his career. He’s one of many good-looking wannabes who occupy the apartment-style hotel that plays the backdrop for the show.
Ben, a Jamaican-born, Toronto-bred actor, splits his time between Canada, L.A. and New York (which happens to be his favorite city for dating).
Read on to find out what a night in NYC would be like with this rising star.

Sabrina: Dine out or a home-cooked meal?
Ben: Dine out.
Sabrina: What would you wear?
Ben: I would go upscale casual. I would wear some middle-ground dressy pants, some nice kicks for sure and it’d have to be, like, a button-down shirt.
Sabrina: Are you a talker or a listener?
Ben: Definitely a listener.
Sabrina: How long before you follow-up for another date?
Ben: The next day.
Sabrina: Do you pay for everything or should she chip in? [laughs]
Ben: I’m paying for everything. Come on.
Sabrina: Do you have any dating pet peeves?
Ben: Honestly, no. I’m a pretty easygoing guy. I’m not going to stop her from being who she is.
