Cissy Houston talks reality show

Cissy Houston’s got high hopes for "The Houston Chronicles."

Cissy is reportedly finding the silver lining in a show about her family coping with the sudden, tragic passing of Whitney Houston.

A source close to the family supposedly told that Cissy feels like the show, set to air on Lifetime, could "help with the healing process." And it’s said that Cissy thinks "The Houston Chronicles" might be a great platform on which to showcase Bobbi Kristina’s vocal talents.

The show will mainly focus on Whitney sister-in-law Pat Houston, but Lifetime has confirmed that Bobbi, Cissy and Dionna Warwick will also be making appearances. According to the insider, Cissy has said the series will also help in "keeping the family as one" now that Whitney is gone.

One person that might not be involved in that equation is Bobby Brown.  There’s buzz that he isn’t too happy about Bobbi doing the show on Lifetime.

He’s not upset about her doing reality TV, but TMZ reports that he’s been trying for months to get Bobbi to agree to appear on his own upcoming series.

And there are whispers that Bobbi, who supposedly never considered doing her father’s show, has completely stopped talking to Bobby. Sources say that he’s been trying to reach Bobbi through Pat.

Neither Bobby nor the Houston family has commented on that rumors of a rift between father and daughter at this time.

Pat and Bobbi have already welcomed cameras into their lives after Whitney’s passing when Oprah Winfrey chatted with the family. Check out a few pics from their chat.
