Raven-Symoné responded to—but didn’t confirm or deny—rumors that she’s in a lesbian love affair.
“My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life,” tweeted Raven, days after the National Enquirer reported that she’s romantically involved with an “America’s Next Top Model” contestant.
Raven has been in the public eye since her days as a child star on “The Cosby Show.” She then starred in two sitcoms, “That’s So Raven” and “The State of Georgia.” Now, she’s on Broadway.
Although she’s been in the spotlight for years, Raven has rarely been romantically linked to anyone, and she likes it that way.
“I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. And I shall not start now,” she wrote.
What Raven didn’t clarify is whether or not she is a lesbian.
“[T]hat is my right as a HUMAN Being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone,” she said.
Last year, Raven spoke to Sister 2 Sister about her experiences dating men.
“Most guys do feel intimidated, but I’m also the type of girl who’s friends with guys before even going to the romance version. I only have two friends that are girls. All of my friends are guys. And I actually like it a lot more because there’s no jealousy…,” she said.
