The drama of the last few months may have finally caught up with singer Ray J, who is currently in the hospital.
The singer, who was most recently in the news for an apparent seating dispute at Sunday’s Billboard Awards, is being treated for “exhaustion and dehydration,” a source told Sister 2 Sister.
"Ray J has been in a Las Vegas area hospital since the early morning of Monday, May 21, and will remain there for treatment for exhaustion and jet lag. Ray J was in Las Vegas hosting a launch party for the product he is endorsing, Prince Reigns Hair Serum, and to attend the Billboard Awards. He had just returned to the U.S. from a quick 32-hour round trip from China where he performed a concert and had meetings regarding a new business. Upon landing, he immediately drove four hours to Las Vegas for the two events," the source said.
And that’s just the physical stress. Ray J, who was admittedly emotionally drained following the February passing of family friend Whitney Houston, was also “upset” Sunday when Whitney’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, allegedly asked security to escort him to seats farther away from her.
However, Pat disputes claims that she had anything to do with security requesting Ray J move from the seats.
“The family was given six tickets close to the front of the stage. Bobbi Kristina, her boyfriend Nick, and a friend were occupying the seats along with two seat fillers. At some point, Ray J moved from his seat to the open seats near Bobbi Kristina, at which time security and Las Vegas Police got involved and asked Ray J to move after which Pat told them, ‘Stand down and allow him to remain in the seat,’” Pat told HipHollywood.com.
There’s no word yet on when Ray J might be released from the hospital.
