Kanye West debuts film in Cannes

Kanye West has brought his latest creative vision to the Cannes Film Festival, and he did it big!

According to PopEater.com, the rapper-designer-director took seven screens to debut Cruel Summer, which was part film and part art installation. About 200 people saw the project, which stars Kid Cudi and Aziz Ansari.

GQ reports that Jay-Z and Kanye’s boo Kim Kardashian were also on-hand for the screening.

Cruel Summer is about a thief who falls in love with a blind Arab woman. Her father decrees that he’ll only be able to marry her if he cures her blindness.

Apparently Kanye, who also made an appearance in the film, did an amazing job, because he received a standing ovation.

Kim and Kanye aren’t new to all the cameras surrounding their relationship. Take a look at them hanging out with her family in NYC!
