There may be some new players coming to season 2 of VH1’s “Basketball Wives: L.A.”

Returning star Malaysia Pargo recently hinted that there might be some new cast members on the team.

“We have a couple more new additions to the show,” she told StarCam.

If the L.A. version of the series is following in the footsteps of the Miami series, then introducing new cast members makes sense.

Tami Roman joined the original “Basketball Wives” for the show’s second season. Meeka Claxton joined for season 3 and season 4 introduced Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols.

While the Miami series has come under fire for its limited portrayal of minority women as materialistic and catty, Malaysia said “BBW: L.A.” will offer more balance.

“You’ll see more of our kids, more of our home life. With me, you’ll see more of my jewelry line. I have a ladies’ line coming now. You’ll get a little bit more of me,” she said, promising “drama, laughter, funny, shenanigans and a whole lot of shimmer.”
